We are now accepting resume/applications forEXPERIENCED Asphalt Equipment Operatorsfor the Houma, LA& surroundingarea. Duties/Responsibilitiesmay/may not be limited tothe following: Job Scope: Responsible for operating a variety of equipment for groundwork and construction purposes Duration of Job: Temp to Hire Based on Job Performance Requirements for Position : Experience with operating asphalt equipment (asphalt paver, screed, rollers, broom skid steer, backhoe, etc...) Must be able to pass drug screen Required Skills: Excellent hand-eye coordination. Great written & verbal communication High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work well with others Duties/Responsibilities: Operateheavy equipmentin compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures. Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers. Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow, and indicate low spots for workers to add material. Assist in placement, displacement, and moving various traffic control devices. Set up and tear down equipment. Shovel, rake and spread asphalt. Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places Transport raw materials to production workstations Lift and carry merchandises/materialas needed.. Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify any damages. Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance Maintain equipment in safe and good working condition. Mange house keeping activities when requested. Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized. Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed. Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner. Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards. Practicesafety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions The employee is occasionally exposed to loud noise,fumes, and/or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock Documents Required: Driver's License/Identification Social Security Card/Birth Certificate MUST be able to provide PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, & gloves) MUST have reliable transportation. Pay: Starting Pay: $20.00-$25.00 Per Hour (DOE) Weekly Pay Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday Schedule: Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed) 8 - 12 Hour Days (With Weather Permitting) Tasks beyond those listed above will be asked of you, so a positive, can-do attitude is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
