Crystal River is known for its spring-fed waterfront and access to outdoor recreation along Florida’s Nature Coast. Three Sisters Springs is located in Crystal River and offers clear-water paddling and seasonal manatee viewing, while Crystal River Preserve State Park spans more than 27,000 acres of marshes, islands, and coastal habitats. Fort Island Gulf Beach is about 8 miles from downtown and provides Gulf access and sunset views, and Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is roughly 15 miles away with native wildlife exhibits and walking trails. The area offers a quieter coastal lifestyle with boating, fishing, and kayaking nearby, and Tampa is about 80 miles south for additional dining, sports, and airport access.
